I am a Brazilian engineer living in Calgary, Alberta, with a Computer Science degree and more than 25 years of shipping software. I started building software for one of Brazil’s largest media groups, across TV, radio and the web, and today I build investment software at one of Canada’s most respected firms, recognized as a Top 100 Employer for 2026. The thread through all of it is simple. I help companies ship better software by keeping the business problem in plain sight.

I learned that lesson in very different rooms. I led development for major Brazilian media groups like Bandeirantes and Jovem Pan, evolving legacy systems used at real scale. I founded and ran my own software company for over 10 years, where I led teams and delivered solutions end to end. And at Benevity I mentored engineers as a Staff Developer, balancing technical decisions with user experience and long term cost.

Today I am part of the product team at Mawer Investment Management. My focus is to build what the business needs and turn it into a better experience for our clients, the kind of work that converts into real value. I own the solution end to end, from the first conversation with stakeholders to architecture and production code. Lately that includes a lot of AI work, designing and orchestrating intelligent agents and workflows that automate real business processes, not demos.

Tools come and go, so what I really care about is system design, clean architecture and Domain-Driven Design, building modular systems that can change when the business changes. I am not just a coder. I am the person who connects what the business needs with what the software does. I am the harness that turns business intent and raw AI horsepower into software that actually ships. The job did not change. The vocabulary did. I will be honest, I just wanted an excuse to say “harness”.

The timeline below is my version of the story. For a second opinion, my colleagues left some recommendations on my LinkedIn profile. I promise I did not write them myself.

Born in Brazil, building in Canada. The move taught me as much as any framework.
